A supercomputer has predicted how the Premier League table will look at the end of the 2025-26 season after the matchday 13 epic encounter between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. The Gunners have been tipped to win the league title, while the Blues are expected to secure a top-three finish.
On Sunday, November 30, Enzo Maresca's side proved their mettle as possible league challengers by holding Mikel Arteta's team to a 1-1 draw with 10 men. With the first half of the campaign nearing its conclusion, the league is beginning to take shape.
As per a report by GIVEMESPORT, an Opta supercomputer has forecasted how the 20 teams will be placed on the standings by the end of the season. The computer has predicted that Arsenal will win the league with 81 points, while Manchester City will finish as runners-up, nine points behind the current table-toppers.
Chelsea have been predicted to finish third with 66 points, while defending champions Liverpool have been tipped to secure a top-four finish despite their current struggles. Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion complete the top six.
Ruben Amorim's Manchester United are expected to finish in the top half this time around (54 points), but only above Brentford in 10th place. Meanwhile, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace have been tipped to finish above the Red Devils in seventh and eighth, respectively.
Tottenham Hotspur have been placed in 12th position behind Bournemouth. The computer has also predicted Leeds United, Burnley, and Wolverhampton Wanderers as the teams to be relegated to the Championship when the league wraps up in May 2026.
Micah Richards snubs Chelsea as he names closest challengers for Arsenal
Pundit Micah Richard does not believe that Chelsea can challenge Arsenal for the Premier League title this season. He asserted that only Manchester City can give the Gunners a run for their money in the title race
Speaking on the Rest Is Football podcast, the former Manchetser City defender said:
“I think Chelsea can challenge them, but I don’t think they’ll have enough. I think Man City are still the ones who can challenge them all the way, even though they’re conceding easy goals for their standards. I say that because they’ve got someone like Haaland, who didn’t score against Leeds, but Foden stepped up.”
The Blues have had a rollercoaster performance this season, but their recent solid outings have put them in the title race discussions. Arsenal, meanwhile, who have finished as runners-up in the past three seasons, are the huge favorites for the title.
