Cristiano Ronaldo was at the center of attention in the build-up to the game against Neom after his claim of Saudi football being more difficult than what he faced in Spain. The 40-year-old followed up his interview with a goalscoring display against the newly-promoted side, leading to a reaction from his former teammate. Ferdinand applauded Ronaldo with an emoji, also indicating that he was monitoring his game closely.

Cristiano Ronaldo took his tally for the season to nine league goals in only eight appearances as he scored for a sixth successive league game. The former Manchester United man netted from the spot for a second game in succession, having also been successful from 12 yards in the win over Al-Feiha last week.

Al-Nassr were awarded a penalty in the 62nd minute when Khalifa Al-Dawsari upended Joao Felix in the 18-yard area. The referee's decision was upheld by the VAR after a brief check, and Ronaldo stepped up to find the bottom right corner for his side's second goal of the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo has led Al-Nassr to a convincing 3-1 win over 10-man Neom for their eighth league win in as many games this season. The Portugal international found the back of the net for the Knights of Najd in the second half of the encounter, helping them on their way to victory.

Ronaldo was restored to the starting XI for the visit to Neom after being rested for their midweek game against FC Goa. The forward was one of ten changes made by manager Jorge Jesus for the game after their 4-0 win in the AFC Champions League Two.

Neom pulled one back in the 84th minute when Ahmed Abdu finished smartly from inside the box to set up a grandstand finish. The league leaders reclaimed their advantage two minutes later when Joao Felix found the net from outside the box, sealing the win.
