Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made a claim about the chaotic nature of his side's 5-4 win over Fulham in the Premier League. The Cityzens just about escaped with all three points from their visit to Craven Cottage to move to within two points of leaders Arsenal.

Guardiola spoke with reporters at the press conference following the game, making light-hearted comments about the nature of the encounter. The Manchester City boss jokingly accused his players of working against him and claimed that the match cost him his hair.

"Did you enjoy it, guys? Nice, huh? Yeah? Me? My God! I lose my hair. I thought the players were happy to work with me, but today I prove it's not", he said (via @BeanymanSports on X).

Guardiola's side claimed a second dramatic win on the spin, following a last-gasp 3-2 win over Leeds United last weekend. They nearly let slip a four-goal lead at Craven Cottage, eventually winning the game by just one goal to make it four wins from their last five league games.

Manchester City were 5-1 up against Fulham by the 54th minute before a spectacular implosion saw the Cottagers saw them come within inches of stealing a point. Marco Silva's side scored thrice in a 21-minute spell before forcing a goal-line clearance from Josko Gvardiol with virtually the final kick of the game. The Cityzens remain within touching distance of Arsenal at the summit of the standings heading into a crucial stretch of games.

Haaland makes history as Manchester City win nine-goal thriller at Fulham

Erling Haaland wrote his name in the history books once again with his goal for Manchester City in their 5-4 win over Fulham. The Norway international became the quickest player to score 100 Premier League goals, doing so in only 111 games.

Haaland opened the scoring after just 17 minutes with a half-volley from inside the box before turning provider for Tijjani Reijnders' second 20 minutes later. Phil Foden continued his fine form as he put the Cityzens 3-0 up in the 44th minute, only for Emile Smith-Rowe to pull one back for Fulham before halftime.

Foden again found the net, this time only three minutes into the second period, to put his side 4-1 up before a Sander Berge own goal saw them lead 5-1 by the 54th minute. Alex Iwobi scored for Fulham three minutes later before substitute Samuel Chukwueze netted twice in the 72nd and 78th minutes to set up a tense finale. The Cityzens held on to claim all three points, inflicting a seventh defeat in Fulham this season.
