Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reckons the Gunners have a good chance of winning the Premier League this season. The north London side haven't won the competition in more than two decades since their historic 'Invincibles' triumph under Wenger in 2004.
Since then, the Gunners have finished thrice five times, including the last three seasons. Mikel Arteta's side have a great chance of ending their long title drought, leading closest challengers Manchester City (34) by two points after 16 games, winning 11.
Despite the Gunners missing key players due to injury heading into the busy festive period, Wenger has no qualms that they will win the Premier League this season because he's not at their helm:
"No, Arsenal will win the league,’ Wenger told AFTV (via Metro). "Why do you ask can? We will win the league. I’m honestly very confident, maybe it’s because I’m not involved. I am very confident, we will win.
"We have a very balanced team, we have a good team attitude. We have top potential offensively and defensively and in every position we two players and in some we have three players."
The Gunners have the meanest defence in the league this season, conceding just 10 times, while only City (38) have scored more than Arteta's side (30).
What's next for Arsenal?

Arsenal have had a solid start to the season, especially in the Premier League, where they have led the standings aince matchday seven.
The Gunners have been a bit patchy in recent weeks, winning once in three games, including a 2-1 loss at Aston Villa. However, they returned to winning ways in the league with a 2-1 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.
Mikel Arteta's side, though, have a tough run of fixtures, starting with a trip to Everton on December 20. On Boxing Day, they host Brighton & Hove Albion before ending the year with a home game against Aston Villa three days later.
