Liverpool are set to face competition from Red Bull Group and Jurgen Klopp in the race for Amara Diouf's signature

Premier League giants Liverpool are keen to sign 16-year-old Senegalese star Amara Diouf, according to TBRFootball. However, the report goes on to suggest that the Reds' ex-boss Jurgen Klopp, now with the Red Bull Group, is willing to rival his former club for the youngster's signature.

Diouf, who is currently on the books of Generation Foot in his home nation, burst onto the scene at the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in 2023. Aged just 14, he bagged five goals and two assists in six games, powering Senegal's U-17 side to the title. He made his senior debut in September 2023 at the age of 15 and also scored twice in Senegal's opening game at the U-17 FIFA World Cup in November 2023.

With his blistering pace, silky dribbling and lethal finishing, he is widely regarded as one of the brightest African prospects of his generation. Due to the similarities between him and Liverpool icon Sadio Mane, Diouf is considered by many as his natural successor.

This has perked up the interest of many top European sides, including the Reds, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Barcelona. However, Klopp is reportedly eager to play spoilsport and potentially give Diouf a better situation to flourish in.

In October 2024, it was revealed that the 57-year-old would join the Red Bull Group as their Head of Global Soccer in January 2025. The announcement came just three months after his departure from Anfield and caught Liverpool fans by surprise.

If the Reds management are indecisive about Diouf's transfer, it is likely that Klopp will make a move to pry the youngster away from under their noses. Although the winger will have to wait until he turns 18 to potentially make a move, it is believed that the German is willing to give him a pathway to the top of the game.

Liverpool interested in signing breakout Bundesliga attacker, have held initial talks: Reports

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing star forward Omar Marmoush from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Reds are willing to offer up to £58 million to bring the Egyptian attacker to Anfield.

After uninspiring spells at Wolfsburg and Stuttgart, Marmoush joined Frankfurt on a free transfer in July 2023. He enjoyed a decent debut campaign for Die Adler, but has really announced himself to the footballing world in the 2024-25 season.

He has racked up 13 goals and nine assists in 15 games this season. Naturally, his incredible play has attracted attention from top European sides, including Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

Reports from Fichajes suggest that the Reds have already held initial talks with Marmoush and Eintracht over a potential move. The report details that they are willing to pay up to £58 million to secure the Egyptian's services.

With Diogo Jota's terrible injury history and Darwin Nunez's inconsistency, Marmoush could be a solid addition to Liverpool's attacking stocks. At just 25 years old, a move for him could be a worthwhile investment for the Merseysiders - for the now and the future.
