Liverpool have emerged as a possible destination for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani. According to Sky Germany, the Frenchman is looking to secure an exit from the Parc des Princes in the winter transfer window.
The report claims that some Premier League clubs, especially the Reds, have shown an interest in signing him. RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga are also eyeing the 26-year-old in a loan deal that could include an option or obligation to buy.
Kolo Muani has fallen down the pecking order under Luis Enrique. He has made just 14 appearances all season, including featuring just twice after the last international break. The attacker moved to the French capital from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer for a reported €90 million but has struggled to impress, collecting just two goals and one assist this season.
The Frenchman could be an interesting addition to a Liverpool side that could look for other options to lead the line. Darwin Nunez has proven to be unreliable with his inconsistent performances, while Diogo Jota's troublesome injury history is also a cause of concern for the Reds.
Liverpool star heaps praise on Mohamed Salah, hopes he will extend contract

Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo was effusive in his praise for fellow attacker Mohamed Salah. Speaking after the side's 6-3 win over Tottenham, he wished that the Egyptian star will extend his stay in Merseyside.
Gakpo said (via the Guardian):
"It’s very special what we are all witnessing. The amount of goals he scores but the assists he gives as well, the way he plays the game, how he puts other attacking players or midfielders like myself in a position to score and to be dangerous is from a high level."
“I hope for us and for him that he can continue doing that for a long time. We are very lucky to have him and proud that we can be his teammate[s] and try to make him better. And he is trying to make us better as well.”
The 32-year-old is set to be out of contract at the end of the season. Reports suggest that the side have made an offer to him but an agreement is yet to be reached.
Salah has been in exceptional form as Liverpool have enjoyed a dominant start to their campaign, finding themselves on top of the Premier League and Champions League tables. He has 18 goals and 15 assists in 24 games this season.
