Chelsea legend John Terry believes that Liverpool manager Arne Slot has made Mohamed Salah a scapegoat for their form this season. He said that the Dutchman has failed to make the most of the Egyptian's skills, and leaving him out of the starting XI was not right.

In a video posted on his TikTok account, Terry said that Salah would be the first to admit he has not been at his best this season. However, the Chelsea legend claims that the decision not to bring the Liverpool star off the bench, even when the Reds are trailing in games, was not the right call from Slot and said (via The Sportzine):

"I think he'd be the first person to say that he's been out of form this season, but I have to agree with him as well. I think he has been made the scapegoat a little bit. I think a lot of Liverpool players, including himself, have been out of form recently."

"And to leave him out of the squad. If there's one man that's gonna win you a game, it's going to be him. So it's a big call from the manager to leave him out completely and not even bring him on when you need a goal as well. If there's anyone you want to bring on for 15-20 minutes [it has to be him]."

Mohamed Salah slammed Arne Slot earlier this week, claiming that the Liverpool manager was throwing him under the bus and forcing him out of the club.

John Terry hits out at Liverpool manager for Mohamed Salah decision

Chelsea legend John Terry has claimed that Arne Slot made a big mistake by not holding talks with Mohamed Salah in his Liverpool office. He believes that the manager should have held a personal meeting to explain his decision to drop the Egyptian and said on TikTok:

"If you bring experienced players into the office and you explain that listen, 'I'm going to leave you out the squad. I'm going to leave you out, the team this week, and these are the reasons why', as a player, you have nowhere to go."
"But being told that and showing that respect from the manager is really important as well. So, Mo Salah said that there's no relationship with him and the manager. Clearly, those conversations haven't gone on, and I think Mo's shown his frustration with his recent interview coming out after the game, expressing his disappointment."

Mohamed Salah has hinted that the Brighton & Hove Albion clash in the Premier League next weekend will be his final game for the Reds.
