Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel of Fast and Furious fame has revealed that he wrote a role for Cristiano Ronaldo in an older spin off. The Al-Nassr superstar is one of the most recognizable faces in the world, having enjoyed a hugely successful football career at the top. Vin Diesel posted a photo of himself and Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram and addressed questions of whether there are plans for him to appear on Fast and Furious. He revealed that he had, in fact, written a role for the Portuguese great in a 2009 spin off of the franchise. Vin Diesel wrote and directed the film and appeared as Dom Toretto, where the fugitive assembled his crew in the Dominican Republic to break a character out of prison and hijack gas shipments. The film exposed some of the back stories in the Fast and Furious franchise.Vin Diesel made the post to address rumours of a plan for Cristiano Ronaldo to make an appearance in a similar film to Los Bandoleros. The short film is being conceptualized to cover the delay in the production of the eleventh film of the franchise due to a number of factors. Ronaldo would not be the first footballer to appear in a Vin Diesel film of he does get cast in a role, seeing as Neymar did so in 2017. The Brazil and Santos star briefly appeared in xXx: Return of Xander Cage for a cameo.
