Manchester United fans are questioning manager Ruben Amorim's decision to drop Mason Mount. Many believe that the Englishman should have started after impressing in his previous games.

Amorim has stuck with Senne Lammes in goal, while the defense has seen a few changes. Noussair Mazraoui, Ayden Heaven, and Luke Shaw are the center-backs today against West Ham United.

Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot are the wing-backs, with Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes keeping their place in the midfield. Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo play in the attacking midfield role, with Joshua Zirkzee starting up front.

Manchester United fans are delighted with the team, but are questioning the decision to drop Mount. Some posted:

Ruben Amorim has praised Heaven ahead of his first start in the Premier League this season and said:

“Heaven has a big character. He is ready to play.”

Talking about Matthijs de Ligt missing the game, the Manchester United manager added:

“It’s a small thing. I expect to have him in the next game. The rest of the guys are ready.”

The manager also spoke to the club's media team ahead of the game, saying that his players were finally understanding his tactics and said:

"For me, as a manager, it's really important. But I take it as normal. If you spend so many hours with one guy, if you have a common goal, if you suffer all together. I think we should support each other because, in the end, we have our friends, we have our club but, in the end, we are the guys who can change everything."

"To change everything, it cannot be one guy alone. It has to be all of the guys. I think they are slowly understanding that. We need to be really tight to cope with all the bad moments and even the good moments. So I'm really pleased with that."

Manchester United star confident of finishing in Top 4

Manchester United star Mason Mount has said that his side can finish in the top 4 this season. He admitted that the start of the season has been rough and said (via Mirror):

“It's been up and down but I think we are in a lot better place, not just me personally but as a group, and we really need to kick on now and win more games. That's the most important thing now. A difficult result last game [vs Everton ] but to come back and win today was massively important. Yeah, it's time to really kick on and shoot for those top four positions.”

Manchester United finished 15th in the Premier League last season and missed out on European football.
