Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes has named Manchester City star Bernardo Silva as the most irritating player in the Premier League. Fernandes is often regarded as an annoying figure on the pitch for his constant complaining and antics.
However, the 31-year-old has claimed that his international teammate Bernardo Silva is more annoying than him. He has claimed that his style of talking with his arms does not help his reputation. He said, as quoted by Nathan Salt on X:
"My image on the pitch makes me seem like someone who's always complaining, but Bernardo Silva is more annoying than me! He's politically correct and I'm not! My problem is talking with my arms."
Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva are both integral players for their respective clubs Manchester United and Manchester City respectively. They have been teammates for Portugal for a long time and have shared the pitch on 68 occasions and have seven joint goal participations.
Bruno Fernandes currently captains Manchester United and has been at the club since 2020. He has made 307 appearances for the Red Devils so far scoring 103 goals and providing 93 assists.
Bernardo Silva, on the other hand, has been at Manchester City since 2017 and has been a key player for the club. He has made 428 appearances for the Cityzens till date scoring 73 goals and providing 75 assists.
Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand tips Arsenal to win the title ahead of Manchester City
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has backed Arsenal to win the Premier League despite Manchester City closing in. He has claimed that the Gunners could face two challenges- injuries and a dip in form. He said, via Metro:
"Arsenal are only two points above Man City, who have been bang average this season, and three above Aston Villa. Arsėnal fans are so up and down, it's unbelievable. I still think Arsėnal will win the league. I do. They're making hard work of it now but what team doesn't go through those spells at some point?"
The former Manchester United defender added:
"The injuries are killing Arsėnal but I still think they win the title. Arsenal fans are so up and down which is understandable because they've been starved off success. But I think they get over the line and it could be the start of something special for that team."
Arsenal sit at the top of the Premier League table but are only two points ahead of Manchester City. The Gunners have looked like favourites in the title race but their lead has narrowed down in the last few weeks.
