Arne Slot watched on from the sidelines as his side suffered their joint-heaviest home defeat in a Premier League game against Forest, who began the day in the relegation zone. Liverpool looked far from convincing in the game as their opponents put them to the sword with goals in both halves.

France international Konate started alongside club captain Virgil van Dijk at the back for the Reds, who were looking to bounce back from their defeat at Manchester City before the break. The 26-year-old came in for criticism after his side let in three goals despite the return to action of Alisson, with fans blaming him for his part. A section of the club's fans took to X to criticize the display of the Frenchman.

Ibrahima Konate made one tackle, three clearances, and two ball recoveries during his time on the pitch for Liverpool. He managed to win only two of five ground duels and won both of his aerial duels in the game before he was substituted off for Hugo Ekitike after 55 minutes.

Nottingham Forest compound Liverpool misery with Anfield thrashing

Nottingham Forest added to the woes of Arne Slot and his Liverpool side by claiming a 3-0 win over them at Anfield. Sean Dyche's side moved up three places in the league table to 16th after the win, climbing out of the relegation zone.

Forest opened the scoring after 33 minutes when centre-back Murillo showed off his attacking instinct with a fine swivel and finish inside the box. They thought they had found a second goal shortly after through Igor Jesus, but the VAR ruled out the effort for handball.

Dyche's side got their second of the game when Nicolo Savona slammed home a cutback from Neco Williams only seconds into the second half. Their third goal of the game came after 78 minutes, as captain Morgan Gibbs-White fired home from inside the box after Alisson saved an Omari Hutchinson shot. Liverpool have now lost six of their last seven league games and are in 11th place after 12 rounds of matches this season.
