Liverpool fans have expressed their annoyance with coach Arne Slot after Mohamed Salah's explosive interview after their 3-3 draw against Leeds United. A number of the club's fans have asked that the Dutch tactician be relieved of his duties after what appears to be a messy fall out.

Former Feyenoord boss Slot has opted against starting Salah in each of his side's last three games, a run that has yielded just one win. The Egypt international's last start for the club came in the UEFA Champions League humbling to PSV Eindhoven on November 26th.

Mohamed Salah spoke with reporters after getting no minutes in the draw at Leeds United, alleging that he is the recipient of undeserved blame for their struggles. The 33-year-old specifically stated that his relationship with Slot has hit a brick wall, leading the fans to take sides in what appears to be a civil war within the club.

A section of the club's fans consider Arne Slot, who has overseen a major drop-off in form this season, to be in the wrong. They have made this clear with posts on X, asking that the coach be sacked.

A fan accused the Dutch schemer of having destroyed the club, as well as the legacy of Jurgen Klopp, and demanded that he be fired.

Another fan absolved Salah of any blame, pointing accusing fingers at Slot while asking for a regime change at the club.

Mohamed Salah has been far from his usual best this season, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 19 appearances across all competitions. The former Chelsea man had played a prominent role as Liverpool won the Premier League title in the 2024-25 season, leading the way for goals and assists. He has scored 250 times in 420 appearances for the club, and signed a two-year deal earlier this year.

Liverpool drop points again in Leeds United thriller

Liverpool managed to let slip a two-goal lead at Elland Road in their Premier League meeting with Leeds United, playing out a 3-3 draw. The Reds were looking for only their second win in six games, but were met by a motivated Leeds side, who defeated Chelsea in mid-week.

Hugo Ekitike opened the scoring for Arne Slot's side in the 48th minute before scoring his second two minutes later to put the Reds in the clear. Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled one back for Leeds from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute, before Anton Stach fired home an equaliser after 75 minutes.

Liverpool thought they had got the final say when Dominik Szoboszlai finished smartly in the 80th minute to restore their lead, only to be pegged back. Leeds midfielder Ao Tanaka scored his second goal in as many games in stoppage time as he lashed home from close range following a corner kick.
