Five days ago, Fast and Furious actor Vin Diesel posted on Instagram that Cristiano Ronaldo has a role written for him. Diesel's co-actor in the popular franchise, Tyrese Gibson, sparked speculation that Ronaldo could feature in Fast and Furous' 11th instalment.

Diesel, as Dominic Toretto, and Gibson, as Roman Pierce, have respectively appeared in nine and seven of the franchise's movies, which have grossed over $10 billion globally. It's next chapter - Fast & Furious 11 or Fast Forever - is slated for release in 2027.

Days after Diesel's post about the makers writing a role for Ronaldo, Gibson shared a pic of himself and a few of the franchise's popular actors with Ronaldo, possibly hinting about the Portuguese's involvement in F&F 11. Gibson tweeted (as per GOAL):

Many speculated, though, whether the picture is AI-generated, with Grok, an AI chatbot, hinting at the possibility.

Fast and Furious' eleventh instalment is expected to be the popular franchise's final one. Production delays have meant that the release date hasn't yet been announced. But considering Ronaldo's commitments with club and country, it remains to be seen if the Portuguese does indeed appear in F&F 11 and in what capacity.

“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” Ronaldo said about his new venture.

The Al-Nassr attacker isn't immediately expected to delve into movies, though, with the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming up in the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer.

Having never ventured beyond the semi-finals of the quadrennial competition, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will hope to be sixth-time lucky for Portugal in what would likely be his final World Cup appearance.
