Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a message on social media after his heroic last-gasp penalty helped Al-Nassr to secure a 2-1 win over Al-Feiha. The Knights of Najd moved three points clear at the summit of the Saudi Pro League, extending their 100% record in the league this season.

Al-Nassr sought an immediate response after their elimination from the King's Cup at the hands of Al-Ittihad in mid-week as they returned to league action. Their lead atop the table had been eclipsed following Al-Taawoun's win earlier in the day, but Cristiano Ronaldo proved his worth with two goals. After the game, the 40-year-old forward took to social media to share his never-say-die attitude, celebrating the late win.

Cristiano Ronaldo continued his fine form for Jorge Jesus' side in the league, scoring once in each half to take his tally for the season to eight goals in only seven appearances. The Portugal international also took his career tally to 952 goals, moving him slightly closer to the 1,000-goal mark.

Ronaldo's goalscoring performance for his side came just hours after his son found the net on his first start for Portugal's U-16 national team. The younger Cristiano scored against the Wales team in the second game of their tournament taking place in Turkiye, with his proud father posting a clip of the goal on Instagram.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads Al-Nassr to win over Al-Feiha

Cristiano Ronaldo played a starring role for Al-Nassr as they came from behind to keep their 100% record alive in the Saudi Pro League. The Knights of Najd ran out 2-1 winners against Al-Feiha, inflicting a third defeat in seven league games upon their opponents.

The league leaders were looking for a response after losing 2-1 to Al-Ittihad in the Round of 16 of the King's Cup on Tuesday and crashing out of the tournament. They were, however, shocked when Spaniard Jason expertly finished off a ball into the box after just 13 minutes, putting his side ahead with his second goal of the campaign.

Al-Nassr came roaring back and drew level in the 37th minute of the encounter through their talismanic captain Ronaldo. The experienced forward was on hand to turn the ball home from close range after good approach play from fellow forward Kingsley Coman.

With the game appearing to head for a draw, Cristiano Ronaldo would have the final say after his side were awarded a penalty following a VAR intervention. Abdulelah Al-Amri was deemed to have been fouled during an aerial duel in the box allowing Ronaldo to step up and score in the 15th minute of added time to seal the win.
