“[Cristiano Ronaldo] has got feet for a reason, not hands. Anything with your feet, maybe he could be a Taekwondo kickboxer.”

Garcia added:

“When I met him he was a charming fellow, a very strong figure, and a very sweet dude, a gentleman. He’s inspirational.”

Ryan Garcia concluded:

“For him to keep his body intact, and perform at such a high level at his age is… he’s like LeBron James. Hard work, discipline, and belief could take you anywhere.”

The Saudi Pro League has made a name for itself in recent years and has attracted some big players from across the globe. It all started following Ronaldo's record-breaking move to Al-Nassr in January 2023.

Ronaldo is currently the highest-earning footballer on the planet, but the Saudi Pro League is known for handing the players a generous wage package. Former Saudi Arabian Sports Minister Bin Mossad, however, claims that Cristiano Ronaldo is the only foreign player to warrant such high wages.

Apart from Ronaldo, big names like Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane, Joao Felix, NGolo Kante and many others also play in Saudi Arabia. Neymar also had a stint in the oil-rich country before returning to his homeland Brazil in January 2025.
