Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has fired back at an Arsenal fan who made a comparison with their London rivals Chelsea. The two London-based clubs have both achieved plenty of success over the years, although Chelsea have been more successful in recent years.
Kevin Pietersen is known to be a huge fan of the Blues and took a dig at an Arsenal fan who compared the two clubs' trophies on X. A Gunners fan named 'Spencer Morgan' attached a screenshot where he asked ChatGPT regarding the two clubs' total number of trophies.
ChatGPT replied that Arsenal have won 48 trophies till date, out of which most are domestic honours. On the contrary, Chelsea have 33-34 major trophies, including major European honours as well.
Kevin Pieterson replied to the post where he highlighted the Gunners' lack of success in recent years. He wrote:
"Chat GPT cow you can’t remember when you won a trophy last? Spurs has North London covered, youngster."
Chelsea have been hugely successful over the last two decades, particularly since mid 2000s after Roman Abramovich's takeover. They have won the First Division/ Premier League six times while also winning the Champions League twice.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been significantly more successful domestically than their rivals but have not tasted much success in Europe. They have only one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in their trophy cabinet which they won back in 1993-94.
Former Chelsea star makes big claim following Arsenal's 3-0 win against Club Brugge
Arsenal winger Noni Madueke has backed the Gunners to win both the Premier League and the Champions League this season. The England international has thrived at the Emirates following his reported £52 million switch from Chelsea.
The Gunners currently sit at the top of both the Premier League and Champions League tables. They are the only team to have kept a 100% win record in the league phase of the Champions League this season. Madueke, who scored a brace in the Gunners' 3-0 win against Club Brugge, said after the game:
"We’re fighting on all fronts. I feel like we can win this competition and win the league, that has to be the aim. We're in a good place at the moment. We're tight, that's the main thing. We want each other to do well, we know there are loads of minutes for all of us. It's about all of us as a collective, we know we all have a part to play. That's the good thing about this team."
Many were skeptical when Arsenal splashed a big fee for Madueke to bring him from Chelsea. However, he has done pretty well for Mikel Arteta's side so far having scored thrice in 12 games across competitions.
