Barcelona are reportedly keeping tabs on RC Strasbourg star Joaquin Panichelli as they eye a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The Argentine has impressed in Ligue 1 since moving to the French side in the summer.

According to a report in Mundo Deportivo (via Tribal Football), Barcelona are among the clubs keeping tabs on the striker. The 23-year-old has scored nine goals in his opening 10 matches for the Ligue 1 after his €16 million move from Alaves.

Lewandowski is in the final months of his contract at Barcelona and is yet to sign a new deal. His agent has admitted that nothing is close, and reports suggest a move to the Saudi Pro League is on the cards.

Panichelli is also a target for AC Milan, who have been following him for some time. The striker's agent, Martin Guastadisegno, spoke to Milan Press and said:

“No news with Milan. At the moment, we haven’t heard from anyone, even though I have a great relationship with Furlani and Moncada, but it’s a name that Milan knows and has been following for some time

Strasbourg currently have no plans to sell the star player as he has been impressive in the absence of captain Emanuel Emegha. They see the striker as a replacement for the Dutchman, who has agreed to join Chelsea in 2026.

Barcelona linked with Julian Alvarez as Robert Lewandowski replacement

Barcelona have been linked with Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez and are reportedly plotting a move next summer. The Argentine's former coach, Hugo Rafael Varas, spoke to Super Deportivo Radio earlier this year and confirmed that the former Manchester City star is a fan of the Catalan side and said (via Barca Blaugranes):

"I don't see him comfortable at Atlético. I think he's played too many games on the sidelines, he's never played in the position he should be playing. I know he's told his family that he's thinking about the team, he thinks he plans to play and do well, and his goal is to continue being the national team's No. 9."

"I think that at some point there will be a change of coach or the same. Recently a person told me to go to Barca and the truth is that he is not at Barcelona because he did not put the money he had to put in. He would leave, because he was always a Barca fan. I would like him to play for Real Madrid."

Alvarez has five years remaining on his contract at Atletico Madrid, having signed a six-year deal when he joined from Manchester City in 2024.
