Manchester United fans are furious to see Diogo Dalot starting against Wolverhampton in the Premier League. Many fans do not think he is capable of defending and will cost them the match.

Ruben Amorim has Senne Lammens starting in goal, with Noussair Mazraoui, Ayden Heaven, and Luke Shaw playing as the centre-backs. Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot start as the wing-backs, with Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes as the midfielders.

Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount start as the attacking midfielders, with Matheus Cunha leading the attack instead of Joshua Zirkzee. Fans are not happy with the decision to start Dalot and posted:

Amorim spoke to the media ahead of the Wolverhampton clash, admitting that they cannot take the game lightly. He said that there are no easy games in the Premier League and said (via club website):

“Everything can happen, and that will change. There is no team in the Premier League history that didn't win one game. So, it can be any game. So, we need to try to improve, to rest the players, work really well, and prepare a tough match because, with us, it’s always a tough match.”

When asked if his squad was suffering from fatigue, he said:

“No, I don't know. Maybe it's more tactical than physical, to be prepared for fighting for the second ball. Maybe because we score a goal, we are a little bit more relaxed. I have the feeling that we had the game under control because the opponent is not even near our box. I don't know. I have to check."

Wolverhampton are at the bottom of the table, with just two points this season.

Ruben Amorim comments on Manchester United star

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim was quizzed about Kobbie Mainoo during his press conference, and he was quick to say he would not give the midfielder a chance because he is from the academy. He added that his decision will not be influenced by the media and the national team performances, and said:

“Yes, of course. Of course, I understand, and my job is to answer, but I'm trying to answer always the same thing, and you ask me always the same thing. I understand what you are saying. You love Kobbie, he starts for England, but that doesn't mean that I need to put Kobbie [in] when I feel that I shouldn't put Kobbie [in]. So, it's my decision.”

Mainoo has played just 171 minutes in the Premier League for Manchester United this season.
