Ruben Amorim has stated that he wants the Manchester United players to fight against each other when they make mistakes or lose possession during the match. The United head coach believes that fighting is not a bad thing, and it doesn't mean that the teammates hate each other; rather, it's more about their enthusiasm for the sport and desire to perform better.
Amorim made the comments after he was asked to reflect on Idrissa Gueye's red card. The Senegalese midfielder was shown the red card for violent conduct after he hit Everton teammate Michael Keane with a slap during the Merseyside club's 1-0 win over Manchester United on Monday, November 24.
The players started arguing after the Toffees almost conceded a goal in the 13th minute. Keane also pushed Gueye before the Senegalese midfielder reacted furiously. Talking about Idrissa Gueye's red card after his fight with Michael Keane, Ruben Amorim said in the post-match press conference (via Utddistrict):

"Fighting not a bad thing, doesn't mean they don't like each other. I don't agree with sending off, we can fight teammates. I hope my players, when they lose the ball, fight each other. Cannot be sent off, but my players show many games we can do it. Today we didn't."
Everton boss David Moyes also stated that he wants his players to fight because he wants them to be tough. He claimed that he doesn't want his players to accept someone who isn't performing well. He said (via BBC):
