FIFA have announced the The Best Men's XI, with Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe missing out despite their stunning seasons. The XI sees a 4-4-2 formation, with Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele leading the attack.

PSG have made history with seven players from their European treble-winning side making the team.

Gianluigi Donnarumma was named the best goalkeeper of the year, thus making it to the team straight away. He has Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes in front of him as the full-backs, while Willian Pacho and Virgil van Dijk are the center-backs.

The midfield features Jude Bellingham and Vitinha, with Cole Palmer on the right flank and Pedri on the left. The surprise continues with the attack, where Lamine Yamal has been picked to partner Ousmane Dembele.

The Best FIFA Men's 11 will be selected by votes from two groups - the expert panel and the fans. The Best Men's Player Award winner and The Best Men's Goalkeeper Award winner are automatically selected to the team, while the remaining nine players are decided on the votes.

The initial selection would see nine players making the team, one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and two forwards. The final two players with the highest number of votes are then selected based on their position, while ensuring that no more than four defenders, four midfielders, and three forwards have made the team.

While the award ceremony is held on December 16, the selection period for the performances was from August 2024 to August 2025, and not the calendar year.
