Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele ensured that he claimed the two biggest individual prizes this year as he succeeded Vinicius Jr in winning the Best Men's Player award. Similarly, Aitana Bonmati matched the Frenchman's feat as she was named as the Best Women's Player of 2025, her third straight year of winning the award.

The Puskas Award remains in Argentina, with Santiago Montiel winning it after Alejandro Garnacho scooped the award last year. Montiel, cousin to FIFA World champion Gonzalo Montiel, scored his goal in an Argentinian league game for Independiente against Independiente Rivadavia in May.

England Women's Coach Sarina Wiegman continued to translate on-field dominance to awards as she picked up the award for the Best Women's Coach for a fifth time.

Former PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, now of Manchester City, claimed the Men's Goalkeeper of the Year award for his role in the French side's treble. Chelsea Women goalkeeper Hannah Hampton won the Women's award after helping her club and country achieve significant success this year.

Bellingham, Palmer named in The Best FIFA XI for 2025

England internationals Jude Bellingham and Cole Palmer have earned their places in The Best FIFA XI for 2025. The pair of attacking midfielders were voted alongside nine others in this year's edition of the award after starring for club and country.

In goal, Gianluigi Donnarumma was voted as the goalkeeper in the Best FIFA XI, while three of the four defenders, Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes, and Achraf Hakimi, are from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). They were joined by Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, completing the back four.

In midfield, Barcelona and Real Madrid were represented by Pedri and Bellingham, respectively. PSG ace Vitinha and Chelsea star Palmer made up the four players in the middle of the park. Up front, the duo of Ousmane Dembele and Lamine Yamal completed the XI. They finished in first and second place, respectively, for both the Ballon d'Or and The Best FIFA Men's Player of the Year Award this year.
