Leicester City play host to Middlesbrough in round 14 of the EFL Championship on Tuesday

The action continues in round 14 of the EFL Championship as Leicester City play host to Middlesbrough at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday. This will be the first meeting between the two sides since Middlesbrough picked up a 2-1 victory in their Championship clash back in February 2024.

Leicester City failed to arrest their slump in form at the weekend as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Blackburn Rovers when the two sides squared off at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes have lost three games on the trot, conceding five goals and scoring just once, having gone unbeaten in the eight games preceding this run (3W 5D).

This drop-off in form has seen Leicester City plunge into 14th place in the Championship standings, level on 17 points with Derby County, Swansea City and Wrexham.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough failed to move level with Coventry City at the top of the Championship table on Saturday when they fell to a humbling 3-0 loss against Watford.

Before that, Rob Edwards’ men were on a three-game unbeaten run, picking up two wins and one draw, and had lost just one of their 12 league matches.

Middlesbrough have picked up 25 points from their 13 Championship matches so far to sit second in the standings, three points behind league leaders Coventry City.

Leicester City vs Middlesbrough Prediction

Off the back of a disappointing display against Watford, Middlesbrough will be backing themselves to bounce back on Tuesday as they take on an out-of-sorts Leicester City side who have lost their last three matches.

However, the Foxes boast a solid home record in this fixture and we predict they will hold out for a share of the spoils.

Prediction: Leicester City 1-1 Middlesbrough
