Ipswich Town turned in a dominant second-half display against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday as they netted three goals after the half-time break to seal a 4-1 victory at the Loftus Road Stadium.

Before that, Kieran McKenna’s men snapped their run of two consecutive league defeats on October 25, when they edged out West Bromwich Albion 1-0 courtesy of an 83rd-minute strike from Jack Clarke.

Ipswich Town have picked up 19 points from their 12 Championship matches so far to sit ninth in the standings, one point and one place above Tuesday’s visitors.

Elsewhere, Watford stretched their winning streak on home turf to four games at the weekend when they thrashed Middlesbrough 3-0 at Vicarage Road.

The Hornets boast the best points tally at home so far this season (16), but they are yet to taste victory on the road, losing four and claiming two draws from their six matches.

While Watford will be looking to end their dry spell on Tuesday, they have failed to get the better of Ipswich in their last four meetings, losing three and claiming one draw since a 3-1 victory in April 2014.
