The action continues in the Scottish Premiership as Hibernian and Celtic go head-to-head at Easter Road Stadium on Sunday. Both sides head into the weekend off the back of contrasting results, with the Bhoys claiming a comfortable victory over Dutch outfit Feyenoord in their midweek Europa League clash.
Hibernian were sent crashing back down to earth in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday when they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Motherwell at Fir Park.
David Gray’s men were on a run of two consecutive league victories, seeing off St. Mirren and Dundee FC, and were unbeaten in five of their previous six matches (4W 1D) since October 18.
Despite their disappointing result against Motherwell, Gray will be delighted with his side’s performance this season, as Hibernians currently sit third in the Premiership table, level on points with Motherwell and Rangers.
On the other hand, Celtic snapped their three-game winless run in the Europa League on Thursday when they secured a 3-1 victory over Feyenoord at De Kuip.
Martin O'Neill's side now turn their focus to the Premiership, where they have won each of their last three games since suffering back-to-back defeats against Dundee and Hearts in October.
Celtic have picked up 26 points from their 12 league matches so far to sit second in the standings, four points behind first-placed Hearts, albeit with one game in hand.
