Fulham take on Crystal Palace in a Premier League match at Craven Cottage this Sunday. Fulham are currently in 15th after a tricky start to their season.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are flying high in fifth and could move into the top four this weekend depending on other results.
So, can Fulham pull off a win, or will the Eagles continue to impress?
Fulham vs Crystal Palace Head-to-Head and Key Numbers
- There have been three draws in the last six games between these sides. However, Crystal Palace have beaten Fulham in their last two meetings in all competitions, and worryingly for the home side, both of those games took place at Craven Cottage.
- Fulham were involved in one of the best games of the season on Tuesday, 2 December, as they fell to Manchester City by a remarkable 3-5 scoreline. At one point, Marco Silva's side were 1-5 down, only to come back and almost claim a point late on.
- Crystal Palace, meanwhile, bounced back from a poor 1-2 home loss against Manchester United at the weekend to edge out Burnley 0-1 on Wednesday. Oliver Glasner hopes the win has his Eagles back on track, as they had also lost to Strasbourg before the United game.
- Fulham's away form has been poor this season, with their win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend being their first victory on the road. However, at home they've been a lot better, with their only losses at Craven Cottage being to Arsenal and Manchester City. Overall, they've won four of their seven home games.
- While Crystal Palace haven't always got perfect results this season, one area they have been strong in is defense. They have conceded just 11 goals thus far, with only league leaders Arsenal letting in fewer.
Fulham vs Crystal Palace Prediction
This is a tight game to call, primarily because Fulham have arguably been better than their record this season suggests, but also because Crystal Palace looked tired in their loss to Manchester United.
Fulham, meanwhile, put up an excellent effort even in losing to Manchester City, and the fact that they scored four goals against them will buoy their confidence.
With that said, Crystal Palace's defense promises to be a harder nut to crack than City's, and Oliver Glasner's side are likely to keep it tight even if they're not in the best form.
Fulham have not drawn a game since August, but the prediction is for that trend to come to an end here.
Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Crystal Palace
