Zenless Zone Zero En-Nah Chess Saga event guide

The En-Nah Chess Saga is a brand-new event in Zenless Zone Zero, where players need to organize a team of Bangboos to win a chess-like game mode. The goal is to place these entities strategically on the board and activate bonds to win the automated battle. Upon completing the event commissions, Proxies will unlock the new A-Rank Bangboo, Bild N. Boolok, and free Polychromes.

The En-Nah Chess Saga event in Zenless Zone Zero is available from November 26 to December 29, 2025, i.e., throughout the version 2.4 update. To participate, you must complete the Mole in the Hole Agent Story and reach Inter-Knot level 15. Once eligible, you can initiate the challenge directly from the event page.

It will lead you to Failume Heights. Talk to the Overtime-Enjoyer Bangboo outside the Suibian Temple Atrium to initiate the event.

How to play En-Nah Chess Saga event in Zenless Zone Zero

As specified, the En-Nah Chess Saga event has two game modes. Stick to Story Mode if you want to quickly earn Victory Points and unlock all the rewards. The goal during the event is to recruit Bangboos and deploy them on the battlefield to face off against opponents via an automated combat system. You must create lineups with proper synergy to ensure a smooth victory.

You can recruit new Bangboos by spending some coins at the store, which is located at the upper right corner of the screen. Once recruited, they will appear in the Standby Zone at the bottom. Check the enemy lineup and try to counter it. If you are happy with your choices, place the Bangboo on the battlefield and click on the Enter Combat button.

You can buy the same Bangboo and fuse them to increase their ranks. They get a lot stronger at Rank 3. You must also raise your store level to obtain rarer Bangboos and deploy more of them in the battle.

Activate Bond

You must also deploy Bangboos that align with the Bonds to activate corresponding effects and buffs. You can also deploy entities with the same bond to further strengthen your lineup.
