Where Winds Meet walkthrough: How to complete the Reunion main quest (Universal Furnace)

The Reunion main quest in Where Winds Meet is a part of Chapter 2 storyline, Universal Furnace. Now that you have been tasked with finding the thief who stole the Gold-Making Vessel and discovered that the Nine Mortal Ways Sect is involved, you must find a way to the mysterious Ghostlight Market. To do so, Big Zhao asks you to investigate the Forsaken Quarter in Kaifeng City.

How to complete the Reunion main quest in Where Winds Meet

The Reunion quest can be started after you complete Gathering of Heroes main story mission. Head to the Forsaken Quarter and talk with Big Zhao to begin the quest.

The Forsaken Quarter

Big Zhao will give you a parchment of the clue that Master Pu gave him. You will need to talk with the Red-faced Beggar near the gate first. Once you enter the Forsaken Quarters, look to your right to find a beggar sitting on a mat. Talk to him to find the next clue and continue the Reunion main quest in Where Winds Meet.

Head to the marked objective to speak with the Ferryman next. He will task you with retrieving a scroll. Head to the marked location and you will find the item sitting on a table. Use Celestial Seize to grab this but be quick else the guards will be alerted and you might fail the mission.

You will be thrown into a chase sequence, where you must escape the City Guards. Hit the QTEs quickly to ensure that you escape. Soon you will be helped by Big Zhao who will ask you to run away. Here you will enter another cutscene where the little kid from earlier will help you hide.

Granny Turtle's House

Once the cutscene is over, inquire about the Ghostlight Market from Granny Turtle. Soon you will find yourself meeting with some familiar faces, including Yingying who will turn out to be related to Granny. Talk with her and soon you will find yourself chasing the kid from earlier, Little Fu.

Use Wind Sense to pick on the kid's trail. You will find her hiding in a barrel in a house to your right. You will learn that the widow who stole your purse, Little Fu and Yingying teamed up to fool you. Talk with Granny and you can either choose to let go of the debt.

Search around the house for clues related to what happened to Yingying and Granny's family. Once that is done, head outside and find the girl playing with a cat.

To continue the Reunion main quest in Where Winds Meet, talk with Yingying now and then head inside of Granny's house for dinner. After you finish it, you will need to talk with Big Zhao who is sitting on the roof. Here you will find a deduction mini-game to piece together everything you gathered so far.

After this, you will take Big Zhao to the room to sleep. The next morning you will find out that he already left but left you a clue on where to find him.
