During the prologue chapter of the game, you will come across Qi Sheng, who will task you with retrieving an oddity from a nearby tree, which will turn out to be a beehive. While the first reward of this quest allows you to pick a beginner weapon in Where Winds Meet, it's the consecutive prizes that will matter to you.

While exploring the world, you will be able to notice small butterfly-shaped icons appearing on your mini map. These are the Oddities in Where Winds Meet that you can bring back to Qi Sheng to unlock various skills and stat bonuses for your swordsmaster. But capturing each insect requires you to take unique approach. Here are all of them and how you can catch each one:

• Whisper Hive: Found on trees, these beehives can be obtained once you shoot them with Fire Arrow to drive away the bees
• Dagger General: Generally found under rocks and various objects. Use mighty drop to remove the obstacle and then quickly catch the insect.
• Ironwing Mantis: Can be found across the world, making a clanking sound. Interact with them and chase them to catch them.
• Redmist Beetle: Found on top of certain types of Mushrooms. Stand on these and jump to catch the insect
• Enchanting Lotus: Special flowers that will afflict you with poisonous miasma if you directly approach it. Shoot the nearby butterflies to clear the status effect and then collect the flower.

When you get close to each one of these icons, you can use your Wind Sense to detect where the insects are, and this is viable especially in the case of the Enchanting Lotus, where sometimes you have to shoot out multiple butteflies.
