Where Winds Meet features an intricate combat system driven by a wide array of weapons and their unique abilities. Adding to the complexity are the Mystic Arts, which are secondary abilities you can use to gain an advantage in the battle or solve overworld puzzles. You can unlock them by completing various in-game interactions or performing a Skill Steal.

You can unlock Mystic Arts in Where Winds Meet mostly through overworld interactions. Be it the Cloud Steps or Leaping Toad, the abilities are required to make steady progress in the game. However, unlocking all of them may take a while.

Tai Chi, Lion's Roar, and Talon Strike are some of the best Mystic Arts to unlock early on. Tai Chi, in particular, allows you to destroy walls and stun enemies during combat. Talon Strike and Lion's Roar further bolster your offensive capabilities.
To be able to use more Mystic Arts, you must unlock their slots. You can purchase them from the character upgrade track in exchange for Talent Points. Complete various quests and other overworld activities to earn more of these points.
How to use Mystic Arts in Where Winds Meet

You can use up to eight Mystic Arts at any given time due to the limited slots. To equip the subsidiary abilities on your character, navigate to the Develop tab from the in-game menu. From the Abilities section, select Mystic Arts and assign them in whichever slot you want.
To cast an active Mystic Art, click on the corresponding button (usually the number keys) on your keyboard or hold the right stick on the controller. Some of them are just passive abilities that will take effect without equipping. Movement abilities may have some different requirements to activate.
