Where Winds Meet Lite vs Standard vs Ultimate version: Which one should you play?

Where Winds Meet features several versions, such as Lite and Standard, that you can download. Depending on which you choose, the game’s download size changes drastically. Besides that, the title’s visuals undergo a significant change as well, enhancing your gameplay experience.

Which Where Winds Meet version should you install?

Although Where Winds Meet features three versions, Lite, Standard, and Ultimate, only the first two are currently available. If you downloaded the game from “Steam,” you won't be able to choose among these versions, as it installs Standard by default. Hence, you must use the official launcher to select the edition you want.

Here’s what these versions offer:

• Lite version/Quick Package: Lowered texture quality for better performance. (Requires 68 GB of space)
• Standard version/Package: Standard settings and quality. (Requires 110 GB of space)
• Ultimate version/Package: TBA. (Not available at launch)

Currently, the best version to install is the Standard Package. It offers the perfect balance of performance and visuals. Moreover, the textures are better in this edition, enhancing the title’s gameplay experience.

While using this package, if you face performance issues, you can easily turn some settings down to run the game smoothly. Since Where Winds Meet is quite optimized, it's highly unlikely that you’ll face performance issues when using low-medium settings.

However, if you don’t own a good PC, then you should use the Quick Package. It substantially lowers the texture resolution, which allows the title to run better on low-end computers. Additionally, using an SSD is also recommended for optimal gameplay; otherwise, you might face stuttering problems every once in a while.

Lastly, the Ultimate Package is not currently available at launch. This article will be updated with information pertaining to that version when the developers offer it.

The edition you should install solely depends on your PC specifications and disk space. If you are running low on space, then you should download the Quick Package regardless of your PC configuration.
