How to get Lingering Melody in Where Winds Meet

Lingering Melody is one of many in-game currency items in Where Winds Meet. It’s a free alternative to premium currency that you can use to draw cosmetics within the game's gacha shop. However, getting your hands on them is much harder compared to other in-game items. Vendors who sell Lingering Melody have a limited stock each week.

Since the item is in a limited stock, you’ll want to collect it from all sources before the reset. This guide will show you all the ways you can get Lingering Melody in Where Winds Meet.

Draw Shop

The Draw Shop is where you can exchange the Essence of items for various rewards. To understand what Essences are, let’s have a brief look at the gacha system. There are two gacha options in Where Winds Meet: Celestial Echo and Solemn Echo.

The items you get by drawing from Celestial Echo grant you one Essence of Heaven each. Similarly, the items from Solemn Echo grant you Essence of Earth. Within the Draw Shop, you’ll find the respective sections where you can exchange them for Lingering Melody. Note that acquiring Lingering Melody from the Essence of Earth is limited to two per month, while Essence of Heaven does not have any restrictions.

Jianghu Treasure Shop

The Jianghu Treasure is within the ‘Items’ section of the in-game shop of Where Winds Meet. Most of the items in there cost real-world or the premium currency. However, you can exchange a few of them, including Lingering Melody, using Echo Jade. There is a weekly limit of two, so don’t forget to check back for more on reset.

Seasonal Shop

The Seasonal Shop also keeps a weekly stock of one Lingering Melody in exchange for 200 Echo Jade. To get the item, press ESC and open the ‘Season Shop’. Click on the ‘Appearance Exchange’ section and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Note that you need to unlock the item first by collecting 20,000 Jade Fish by completing in-game activities.

Meow Meow Temple Shop

Throughout Qinghe and Kaifeng, you’ll come across a cat with various mini-games. Completing them grants you Bells, which you can use across the two Meow Meow Temple Shops in Where Winds Meet. Both shops feature a limited number of Lingering Melodies that you can purchase for 50 Bells each. Once depleted, the stock across both shops will not refresh.

Zhao Feiyan’s Warehouse

You can get one Lingering Melody from Zhao Feiyan at the Offering Hall within the walls of Kaifeng City. You’ll find the NPC in the upper middle section of the area, but he’ll refuse to trade with you unless you complete ‘Stealth: The Offering Vault’ exploration quest. Following the quest, an NPC named ‘Sun Sheng’ will introduce you to Zhao Feiyan.

Monthly Fund

Another way to get Lingering Melody in Where Winds Meet is through the Monthly Pass subscription. It’s available in the shop for $5 and grants various in-game currencies as an instant and daily login reward. While active, you get a Lingering Melody after logging into the game for 20 days.

Battle Pass

The Battle Pass features various rewards, including up to seven Lingering Melodies. There are two variants of the Elite pass, one costs 10$ and will grant a total of five Lingering Melodies, while the Collection pass will grant seven. Note that you need to reach at least level 50 to get all the items.

Apart from that, you can also get Lingering Melody from in-game events or through compensation mails from the developers.
