The current meta weapon is the Dual Blades. This fast-hitting close-range melee weapon can help you sustain high damage by itself, but when combined with various buffs, including one provided by its own skill, it's the best pick for a Melee DPS build.

The secondary weapon we’re using in the combo is the Ropedart, which allows you to crowd-control enemies and deal passive damage. Naturally, the best and the only Martial Arts for the weapons we’re using are the Infernal Twinblades and Mortal Ropedart.

The Infernal Twinblades are currently the best damage dealers in Where Winds Meet. They allow you to improve the Critical Rate and DMG with a single click buff, significantly improving the DPS. However, while the effect is active, it consumes HP with every attack, making it a glass cannon build and having you rely on deflects and dodges at times.

Here are all the abilities you get using this Martial Art:

  • Light Attack: Use your Dual Blades to launch a flurry of attacks. Each hit grants Karmic Flame, which allows you to use Flameslash.
  • Flameslash: While active, the skill grants you various buffs. Attacks drain HP, but have a higher Critical Rate and DMG. Additionally, you are immune to all crown control effects from enemies.
  • Addled Mind: Spin forward, swinging your Dual Blades and damaging enemies in its range. It can hold up to three charges and is a good skill to close the gap or to get out of an enemy attack.
  • Calamity’s Greed: Stick one of the blades into a violent spin, slashing any enemy in its AoE and gaining the Enlightened buff. Using the skill again will have you follow up the attack with a secondary slash and reduce the cooldown of Addled Mind by 3 seconds.

The Mortal Ropedart is a hybrid skill type in Where Winds Meet that you can use at a medium or close range. The primary use of the Martial Art is to stagger enemies and pull them close, making it easier for you to bring everyone within the range of your Melee strikes. Additionally, you can also summon rat minions who’ll also deal passive damage.

Here are all the abilities you get using this Martial Art:

  • Light Attack: Swing your Ropedart to perform a 4-hit combo. Holding the button will charge the attack and can knock down enemies.
  • Rodent’s Resilience: Enter a charging stance that grants various benefits with duration. Holding the skill for 1.5 seconds enhances Rodent Rampage, while the next stage, at 3 seconds, will start health regen. The final stage restores energy, but requires a hefty 4.5 seconds of charge time.
  • Bladebound Thread: Throw a rope towards an enemy and pull them close. A successful attack will debuff the target with Vendetta Token. Using the skill again within 2.5 seconds will perform a combo kick to knock down the enemy.
  • Rodent Rampage: Use one Token of Gratitude to summon a rodent minion who’ll attack enemies alongside you for the next 10 seconds.

Inner Way in Where Winds Meet helps you improve your existing skills through various means. Since we are using Infernal Twinblades for a DPS build, the focus should be on improving damage and making buffs last longer.

  • Echoes of Oblivion: This is the main damage support for Infernal Blades. The Inner Way applies ‘Sin’ to enemies struck by normal Light Attacks, and ‘Karma’ to those hit by Flameslash. Having both debuffs active allows you to ignore 10% of the Physical Defense and Bamboocut Resistance of enemies.
  • Riptide Reflex: Enemies struck by a control skill reduce the Cooldown of Martial Art Skill by one second. This effect has a cooldown of ten seconds.
  • Vendetta: This Inner Way allows your rat minion to deal additional damage by increasing the Vendetta Tokens duration and granting 20 Tokens of Gratitude on using the Bladebound Thread.
  • Breaking Point: Increases Physical Penetration and Critical DMG bonus by applying ‘Disintegration’ on exhausted enemies struck by a Critical hit.
  • Vital Leech: For those struggling to maintain HP, Vital Leech allows you to recover health by executing an exhausted enemy. This Inner Way isn’t viable for boss fights.

Note that there are many more Inner Ways to choose from. Obtaining the base variant alone will provide a significant power boost. However, you can perform Breakthrough and further improve their effects, like reducing cooldown or making the effects stronger or last longer.
