10th Anniversary Event

With the debut of the latest patch, players can expect an exclusive 10-year anniversary event within the title. We are yet to see what's going to be featured at this event. However, knowing Ubisoft, there's going to be a unique game mode, paired with a range of limited-time collectible cosmetics, with this event.

Thatcher rework

The fan-favorite British S.A.S. Operator, Thatcher, is finally getting a much-needed rework. This character was made redundant with the advent of Impact EMP grenades in the game, making his entire kit feel borderline useless.

That said, the Operator has now been reworked, and his ability to disable electronics is much more versatile and stronger. Equipped with an EMP launcher, players can now target and disable items of their choice, without exposing themselves, allowing them to push into objectives with absolute ease.

New weapon - PMR90A2 DMR

The Rainbow Six Siege X Operation Tenfold Pursuit update will feature a brand-new weapon after quite a long while. We are going to see the addition of a new DMR in the game, the PMR90A2. This highly accurate marksman rifle will be made available to Thatcher, and, alongside him, Capitão, Nøkk, and Hibana will also have access to it.

Matchmaking changes and hard breacher balancing

Moving forward, the developers have also stated that the game will feature a major matchmaking overhaul. Matchmaking in Siege has always been quite harsh. Matches either went swimmingly, or you're on the other end of the spectrum, getting slammed by players way beyond your league. With the Rainbow Six Siege X Operation Tenfold Pursuit update, we are expecting to see an improved version of the matchmaker being implemented, providing players with lobbies relative to their skill level.
