Octopath Traveler 0: How to get all the Azure Flamestones (and which to use first)

As you rebuild Wishvale in Octopath Traveler 0, you will need to acquire some Azure Flamestones. These are used on the Dais built during the Wishvale storyline, to give your character a variety of incredibly useful powers. While the first Azure Flamestone is acquired automatically, upon reaching a certain point in the main Wishvale storyline, the other two are a mystery.

We’ve acquired them, so we can tell you exactly where you find the Azure Flamestones in Octopath Traveler 0, and which ones are going to be most worthwhile to use immediately. It’s going to take some time (and leaves), but here’s where you can find them.

Where to find all Azure Flamestones in Octopath Traveler 0 and what they do

The first Azure Flamestone in Octopath Traveler is unlocked automatically, after you complete Kindlers of the Flame Chapter 5. We won’t spoil the story for you, but this one is automatic, and it will certainly take time. The quest for this recommends you be around level 31, but once you complete this quest, you’ll have the first one.

At this point, you can pick one of three options: Fast Travel, Area Research, or Animal Whisperer. Personally, we think the best choice to use first is Fast Travel, because it allows you to fast travel to any part of the map you’ve already been to.

This makes it much faster to get to dungeons and other parts of the map, like islands in the ocean. Animal Whisperer would be our second choice, because it lets you unlock some great items, and even animal guests for Wishvale.

The third choice shows how many treasures and Elite Enemies you’ve defeated in each area, which is nice, but best for the third option, when you’re cleaning up all the areas to collect everything. But the real question is, how do you get the other two?

Once you have access to the boat, you can sail to the far east part of the map, and visit Grandport. Just go to the item shop and inquire with the Traveling Ore Merchant, and purchase the Azure Flamestone for 30,000 leaves (15,000 Haggled). That one’s nice and easy, as long as you have the cash for it.

The second Azure Flamestone will show up as a sparkly item in the final room of the Silver Spring area of the Golden Palace (Bestower of Wealth Chapter 3). When you reach the area in the screenshot above, just go to your left and pick up the sparkly blue item. That’s your third Azure Flamestone for Octopath Traveler 0 secured. Now all you have to do is defeat Oskha the Have-Not.
