No Man's Sky has once again been crowned the Best Ongoing Game at this year's The Game Awards, five years after Hello Games last won the same award. No Man's Sky has also been consistently nominated for the Best Community Support award at TGA. Other nominees for this year for Best Ongoing Game included Final Fantasy XIV, Fortnite, Helldivers 2, and Marvel Rivals.
The Game Awards 2025 Best Ongoing Game is No Man's Sky
No Man's Sky continues its storied journey with the latest win at The Game Awards 2025. It is not its first tryst with TGA, as it won the Most Anticipated Game in 2015 and Best Ongoing Game in 2020. There should not be any complaint with NMS and Hello Games picking up this win, as the developers have continued to update and upgrade the game nine years after its launch.

No Man's Sky has significantly grown from the version it released. Several major content updates (all free) have added interesting new mechanics to the space exploration game and fixed issues that players complained about. Even though we have seen the release of other titles in this genre over the years, No Man's Sky has remained one of the most unique and popular takes, thanks to Hello Games' consistent updates and new content (like the recent Corvette).

No Man's Sky may end up winning one more award at The Game Awards 2025. The game is nominated for Best Community Support along with Baldur's Gate 3, Final Fantasy XIV, Fortnite, and Helldivers 2.
