Honkai Star Rail issues free Stellar Jades for Version 4.0 delay

During the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 special program, HoYoverse announced that version 4.0 will be delayed by a couple of weeks. Although they didn't confirm the debut date of the patch, the duration of the HSR 3.8 update was increased by two weeks. Ahead of the update’s release, the devs have compensated players for the inconvenience they have caused by extending the forthcoming patch.

Version 3.8 Delay Compensation Details Hello, Trailblazers! We sincerely apologize for the poor experience and inconvenience caused by the extension of Version 3.8. The Express Crew will issue Stellar Jade ×1,000 and Fuel ×10 to every Trailblazer who has unlocked the mail

Ahead of the Honkai Star Rail version 3.8’s release, the developers are giving away freebies to players since they delayed Version 4.0. Every player who has unlocked the ‘in-game mail” feature will receive the compensation mail that includes 1000x Stellar Jade and 10x Fuel.

Upon claiming the mail, players can immediately use the Stellar Jades to roll the current characters and Light Cones featured in the gacha banners or save them for the upcoming ones. Since the Weakness Break meta is expected to make a comeback in version 3.8 with The Dahlia’s release, Trailblazers can save the Stellar Jades to add the character to their collection.

HoYoverse decided to delay the Version 3.8 for two weeks, and the Honkai Star Rail 4.0 contents are still in development. Moreover, the drip marketing campaign has also been delayed, with no confirmed release dates. Hence, the developers might just follow the normal schedule and reveal the 5-star characters after the second phase of version 3.8 commences.

While the devs didn't officially disclose the reason why they delayed the HSR 4.0 update, they are expected to do so in future announcements or special programs.
