Elden Ring Nightreign is known for its challenging bosses, and a total of 10 new ones have been added to the game along with the new Forsaken Hollows DLC. While the likes of Heolstar and Caligo were once considered to be the toughest, the arrival of the Dreglord and the Balancer has put that to dispute.

5) Lord of Blood (Mohg)

The Lord of Blood (Mohg) returns to Nightreign in the latest DLC, and you can encounter in on the second night of the Balancers' expedition. The boss was originally introduced in the original Elden Ring in 2022 and retains a similar moveset as before, but with some additions.

  • The Lord of Blood has a high HP pool and can also recover health.
  • Capable of dealing immense damage with melee attacks.
  • Able to afflict players with the Blood Loss status effect to deplete their health.

4) Dreglord

The Dreglord, also known as Traitorous Straghess, is one of the newest Nightlords in the game. It is a huge fiend comprised of discarded corpses and poses quite a challenge. The foe wields a Scythe that it uses with tremendous agility. Moreover, it is also capable of using ranged attacks where it hurls spheres of flesh at enemies.

  • Traitorous Straghess has a large health pool and multi-phase fight mechanics. When the second phase begins, it takes on a new form, Pure Impulse Straghess.

3) Death Knights

The Death Knights are among the most challenging foes in Elden Ring Nightreign. They appear as a Night Boss on the first night of the Dreglord expedition, and require you to defeat waves of shield knights and Death Knights. Considering that you are attacked from multiple directions simultaneously, the battle requires immense concentration and awareness.

The boss is a group of agile valkyries wielding multiple weapons with high coordination. Similar to the previous entry, the foe can easily overwhelm you unless you can inflict the Sleep status effect on them for crowd control.

The Knight Artorias is a new Night Boss in Nightreign that you can challenge during the second night of the Dreglord expedition. The foe is originally from the Dark Souls series and is one of the most formidable enemies in the game. Artorias is quite agile with his sword and also gets a movement boost during the second phase of the battle to further test your limits.

  • Artorias has a high health pool.
  • He is highly mobile and can dash and leap across the arena.
