Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is almost here, with fans able to experience Samus Aran's latest 3D adventure after 18 years since the series' last arrival. As such, fans can pre-order the game ahead of launch on December 4, 2025, globally and dive into this sci-fi first-person Metroidvania game as soon as possible.

Note that there are no pre-order bonuses for the game. Additionally, it is available as one standard edition only, but in two distinct renditions:

• Metroid Prime 4 Beyond ($59.99)
• Metroid Prime 4 Beyond: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition ($69.99)

The game is primarily a Nintendo Switch title, with the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition being an enhanced version of the original to fit the capabilities of the new hybrid console. This includes different gameplay modes boasting improved graphics and frame rates, as well as support for Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con Mouse for an immersive PC-like FPS experience.

Both editions are available in physical and digital versions. The Nintendo Switch 2 version also boasts the following specifications:

• Quality Mode: 4K (Docked) and 1080p (Handheld) at 60 FPS
• Performance Mode: 1080p (Docked) and 720p (Handheld) at 120 FPS

Players who buy the Nintendo Switch version can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version by purchasing the Upgrade Pack for $9.99 to avail the visual and performance improvements on the more powerful device; otherwise, using the Nintendo Switch version on Nintendo Switch 2 will run the game at the original platform's visual and performance target.
