Marvel Rivals announces Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone for Season 6

Marvel Rivals certainly surprised everyone during The Game Awards 2025, when the developers revealed Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone for Season 6. As Rogue makes her debut in Season 5.5 of Rivals, NetEase revealed the two new upcoming heroes who will join the game with the release of the next content update on January 16, 2026.

The Rivals Season 6 trailer confirmed both heroes for the upcoming update, and from the looks of it, both will be DPS characters.

Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone confirmed for Marvel Rivals Season 6

With Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 set to release on December 12, 2025, with the new X-Men character Rogue, NetEase showcased a brand new trailer at The Game Awards 2025. The video revealed one of the highly anticipated characters, who fans have been requesting for a while now, none other than the Merc with a Mouth, Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool.

As is the custom with Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth did not waste any time breaking the fourth wall in the stylish trailer, which also revealed Captain America's upcoming Capwolf costume. The video showcased Wade fighting Capwolf, Throg, and a Dinosaur, before coming face-to-face with the ultimate Mutant Hunter, a Sentinel.

In a typical Deadpool manner, Wade defeats his adversaries only for Elsa Bloodstone to shoot and injure him. The lore for the upcoming season picks up with Gambit and Rogue's adventure, where they try to steal a particular item from the Collector:

"After Gambit's attempt to steal a prized artifact from the Collector's Museum, he and Rogue return to the scene of the crime in an attempt to escape. The Collector responds in the best way to avoid getting his hands dirty: by sending in his "top professional" and also... Deadpool... and the Merc with a Mouth opens the doors on every cage within the Collection, turning the Museum into the greatest intergalactic disaster this timeline has ever seen. But there's a hunter on the horizon ready to put a stop to the antics."

When will Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone be playable in Marvel Rivals Season 6?

Both Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone will be added as playable characters in the upcoming Season 6 of Marvel Rivals. Wade will be the first of the duo to become a playable character, joining his friend (or foe?), Wolverine, as the Merc with a Mouth will take the battlefield on January 16, 2026.

Elsa will join the fray soon after, likely becoming playable during the middle of February. Both Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone will likely join the DPS roster of the game if we follow the past few hero releases.
