Prevention task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae: Walkthrough
At the start of the Silent Witnesses quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Zacharias will tell you to wear a protection mask to shield yourself from the plague at the monastery. However, since you don't have anything like that to cover up, you must collect specific items to make it manually.
Here are the required items to make the plague mask and complete the Prevention task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae:
Collect the crafting items
1) Mint

Navigate to the backside of the infirmary to reach the alchemy room. There, open the closet to find a hefty amount of dried Mint.
2) Sage

Carefully exit the infirmary to avoid the guards. Then, take the northeast path to reach the right side of the infirmary. You will find a garden filled with Sage there.
3) Rope

Now, you must avoid the guards to reach the building area. To do so, follow the path shown in the image above to get there efficiently. Also, make sure to crouch and move to make less noise.

After arriving at the building area, find a rope near the broken cart.
4) Leather

Next, pick up the pig skin or leather just ahead.
Get the recipe for aromatic oil

The next task in the Prevention task is to obtain the recipe for aromatic oil from the library. Head there using the path you took earlier.
When at the library, go to the back side and read the book from the stand while completely ignoring the librarian. The book is titled "Records on Fragrant Oils and Their Virtues."
Alternatively, you can finish the Foreseeing Evil task in Mysteria Ecclesiae to learn the recipe's location from the librarian.
Make sure to turn all the pages to learn the aromatic oil recipe.
Brew the aromatic oil

Return to the infirmary, reach the alchemy room, and start brewing. This recipe needs Chamomile, Valerian, and Sage. You can find Chamomile on the way to the garden and Valerian outside the infirmary. Sage is available in the garden.

Here are the next steps to complete the process:
- Open the recipe book and turn to the Essential oil page.
- Pour oil into the cauldron as the base.
- Take Chamomile and throw it into the cauldron → Move down → Bellows → Boil it for 3 turns (use the sandglass to time it) → Move up.
- Take Sage → grind it on the Mortar.
- Put the ground Sage into the cauldron → Move down → Bellows → Boil it for 1 turn (use the sandglass to time it) → Move up.
- Take Valerian → grind it on the Mortar → Put it inside the cauldron.
- Prepare the phial from the left and Pour.
Once done, you will receive the fragrant oil, referred to as aromatic oil in the Prevention task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae.
