Wraith Ops: New upcoming FPS title offering snappy combat mechanics

Wraith Ops is an indie project backed by a publisher with an impressive track record. The game's concept is simple; it prioritizes combat and gunplay over everything else. The game's description further explains that it does not rely on gimmicks of any sort. Instead, it provides players with an infantry mil-sim experience during combat.

The gunplay is meant to be snappy with a realistic damage model. The description also informs players that Wraith Ops does not have any loot boxes or other anti-player monetisation features such as pay-to-win cosmetics.

As mentioned earlier, the Wraith Ops playtest will run from November 27 to December 1, 2025. During the test, players will be able to freely enjoy seven maps, four game modes, three classes, their respective gadgets, and 26 different weapons in their arsenal.

The TTK (Time To Kill) is reportedly rather fast; however, it is still rewarding, and taking headshots is worthwhile. Here is a short description of the game from Steam:

"WRAITH OPS delivers snappy gunplay, fast movement, and objective-based combat with a focus on teamwork and skill. No grind, no gimmicks. Just pure infantry action where every fight matters. Get in, squad up, and take control."

The game is currently garnering more and more attention on social media thanks to its military-focused FPS gameplay. The realistic setting and basic gunplay mechanics may interest certain players, especially those who are no longer interested in hero shooters or intense ability-heavy shooters in the FPS genre.
