Palace of Supreme Oneness: How to solve the Palace of Supreme Oneness puzzle in Where Winds Meet

On top of boasting challenging combat encounters, Where Winds Meet interjects these adrenaline-pumping scenarios with puzzle-solving moments. One such example is at the Palace of Supreme Oneness. Occupied by the Xuanyuan Cult, players are able to thwart their plans; however, there are a couple of ways to do so.

Where Winds Meet: How to complete the Palace of Supreme Oneness puzzle challenge

The Palace of Supreme Oneness is located in Kaifeng City, in the northwestern corner of the map. Here, visit the building on the left side of the compound by grappling onto the windowsill at the top. Take the stairs that head downstairs past the NPC Mu Hao and talk to Yu Changfeng, one of the members of the Xuanyuan cult.

Talking to him reveals two options to accomplish the main goal, which is to disrupt the cult's ceremony and steal the pendant they are guarding. One method is much more straightforward than the other. Let us explore both options in Where Winds Meet.

Method 1

This is the most straightforward of the two options, but not necessarily the easiest. Select the option "Barge in directly" when talking to Yu Changfeng. This will teleport you to the temple's underground lair, where you must fight all foes. There are 14 enemies to eliminate, so this will be a bit challenging.

Method 2

This second way involves choosing the other option available when talking to Yu Changfeng: "Sneak in to cause chaos". While easier than directly engaging in battle, some preparations are in order to accomplish this. In short, you must disguise yourself as a cult member to sneak into the underground compound to steal the pendant from beneath the cult's nose.

Let's go step by step:

To disguise yourself as a Xuanyuan cult member, you must first capture their portrait. Head to the floor above Yu Changfeng in the Palace of Supreme Oneness and capture Mu Hao's photo when prompted by the mask icon. You may have to try this a couple of times since his large straw hat can obscure his face. If successful, you will get a Portrait Completed notification.

Visit the Disguise vendor

For this next step, you must have learned the Disguise skill, and it must be at level 2. This skill can be learned after completing the Disguise: Veil of Love side quest when talking to the NPC Zhuang Wuyan for the first time in the Fairgrounds area, located southeast in Kaifeng City.

Once the prerequisites are met, talk to Wuyan and select Mu Hao under the "Put on a disguise" option. With the protagonist now disguised as a Xuanyuan cult member, speak to Yu Changfeng back at the Palace of Supreme Oneness and select the "Sneak in to cause chaos" option.

Steal the pendant

This will once again teleport you to the underground palace area where the cult members have assembled. Talk to the Unbound Sect leader who has been awaiting the arrival of this last "member". After that, the pendant will be placed on the altar where the leader was standing. With no guards around to pester you, grab the pendant.

Another cutscene will pop up, signifying that the absence of the pendant has stopped the cult's ritual and that the members have scattered after panicking. This completes the Palace of Supreme Oneness puzzle in Where Winds Meet. You will obtain the following rewards for accomplishing this challenge:
