One of the crucial aspects that the game does not tell you is how you can rest in Where Winds Meet. On your journey across the dangerous realm of the martial world, you will often come across challenges that will require you to heal yourself using the Wound Balm. But once you deplete this, the game will ask you to rest to recharge them.
Let's take a look at how to rest in Where Winds Meet.
Rest in Where Winds Meet explained
Resting in Where Winds Meet is not quite the same as sitting on a bench or enjoying a spa. Unlike many other games, you cannot sleep to take a rest and be done with it. Instead, you will need to head to any Teleport Waypoint or Waystones located all over the map.

Standing near one of them will activate the mechanic to rest in Where Winds Meet, which will heal you and fill any missing Wound Balms that you will generally need to heal during combat. Some status disorders can also be healed or cured using this method, though not all of them.
If you do not have any Waystones activated, you will need to activate them first before they can let you rest. The process barely takes a few seconds, and standing near one will fill up your HP gauge. Here is why you should require the resting mechanic:
- Restores your HP bar
- Fill up your Medicine Chest with Wound Balms
- Cures certain status ailments and disorders that you can contract while exploring.
Keep in mind that Waystones and Wayfarers are different, as the latter are marked as campfire icons on the map in Where Winds Meet. Wayfarers will allow you to remove the fog from your map and reveal points of interest, while Waystones will allow you to fast travel throughout the two available regions, Qinghe and Kaifeng, as well as any additional area that you might have unlocked through a quest.
