If you want to fly around in Where Winds Meet, you need to have enough Exploration Points first. In order to use the various flight skills, you need the Afterglow Pendant in addition to unlocking something like Meteor Flight, which is a reward from Level 4 Area Exploration in both Qinghe and Kaifeng. That means you’ll have to do this twice, and again as further updates come to the game. Thankfully, getting Exploration Points is incredibly simple, and you’ll be farming them as you just take part in the world.

Boundary Stones in each region are the most important, since it’s an easy 50 Exploration Points each time in Where Winds Meet. This also allows you to fast travel around much easier, so I highly recommend getting all of them. Some Boundary Stones will be trapped behind story events and dungeons, so if you get to a location and can’t find them, that’s almost certainly why.

Your first clear of World Bosses and Campaign Bosses nets you Exploration Points for the first kill, so that’s another very easy way to get these done. You can do this in co-op if you aren’t feeling confident, and World Bosses should always be tackled in co-op/online mode. You’ll find Campaign bosses in the main story, as well as other dungeons in the world, like Gleaming Abyss and Palace of Annals. Going out of your way to do these nets you a nice assortment of rewards, in addition to useful Exploration Points in Where Winds Meet.

Clearing Outposts for the first time is another fantastic way to farm some loot and also get Exploration Points. If you’ve done these, you can also complete Meow Meow Puzzles for quick Exploration Points that really only take about a minute or so to sort out. I always recommend doing side quests, not just for these Exploration Points.

Many of them also unlock powerful Mystic Arts and other useful skills. Others unlock upgrades for weapon types, like Shadows in Bloom granting the Blossom Barrage Damage Boost for the Vernal Umbrella.

Barring that, simply going around and competing in Archery Tournaments, healing others, and taking part in the various mini-games and activities that litter Qinghe and Kaifeng are a solid way to farm up a few extra points without using too much of your time.

If you focus on these events, you’ll have enough ranks to start flying around in no time. If you ever want to know how many points you have, open your map and click below where you see the name of the region (EG: Qinghe Moonveil Mountain), and you'll see how you stack up, and how close you are to the next tier.
