How to loot the Enchanting Lotus in Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet loot Enchanting Lotus
Enchanting Lotus is a mysterious item in Where Winds Meet, and looting them isn't very clear (Image via NetEase)

Enchanting Lotus is a useful item in Where Winds Meet that can be given to an Oddities vendor for additional stats. However, what makes it frustrating is that simply standing on these flowers won’t allow you to loot them. In fact, if you stand on it too long, as in the image above, you’ll be inflicted with a disease that has to be cured by a Healer or at a local Clinic. It’s one of this game’s great puzzles, but thankfully, it’s also incredibly easy to sort out.

It’s one of the many mini-puzzles you’ll find out in the world, and every one of them is worth doing. While rare, Enchanting Lotuses are worth looting anytime you find them in Where Winds Meet, and here’s how to do just that.

How to loot Where Winds Meet’s Enchanting Lotus item

Enchanting Lotus is an item you can loot in Where Winds Meet, that takes the form of a lotus flower glowing with a strange purple miasma. If you stand on them, you’ll be inflicted with a disease that must be removed if you want to fight at full strength. Similar to a sprain or broken bone, it needs to be healed by someone in the Healer career, or at a Clinic.

Anytime you see one of the flowers shown below, instead of trying to stand on it or press your loot button, look up. Somewhere above you, you’ll find a group of butterflies with a purple glow. Shoot these with an arrow, and they will dissipate. You will have to do this one or two times, and then the miasma around the Enchanting Lotus will disappear. In my experience, they usually unlock after one or two groups of Butterflies. It doesn't matter if you use a regular arrow or fire arrow, either will work.

Once the miasma is gone, you’re free to loot the Enchanting Lotus in Where Winds Meet. But what can you use it for? The primary purpose of our travels is to head to an Oddities vendor. In particular, the Melodies of Peace Oddities Collector in the Verdant Wilds. You can find it in the image above, but make sure you don’t steal from him.

Instead, speak with him, and turn in your Enchanting Lotus items. For example, you can turn in two Enchanting Lotus to claim The Music of Kaiping - Part Two, and gain +5 Max Endurance. You can then turn in another to gain +150 HP, so it’s worth doing, especially early, as a way to increase your power.

Keep an eye out for these flowers as you travel, as they could have other uses somewhere down the line. So far, we’ve only given them up to the Oddities vendors, though they are interested in several other mysterious items as well.
