How to get Motors in Arc Raiders

Motors in Arc Raiders are a rare tier resource that comes with the Mechanical tag. This is an essential base material that you will need to upgrade the Refiner Workshop Station from Level 2 to Level 3. At the time of writing this article, motors can only be found on the Topside and do not come up in any of the Trader or craftable items. So, you will need to travel to different maps and look for and obtain this specific item.

How to find Motors in Arc Raiders

As stated above, Motors in Arc Raiders spawn on the surface as ground loot. Since the item itself contains the Mechanical tag, you should start by looking for it in map POIs that are categorized under the Mechanical variety. Here are some of the named map POIs where you can search for Motors:

Dam Battleground

• Scrap Yard
• Water Treatment
• Primary Facility

Buried City

• Outskirts
• Parking Garage

Spaceport

• Vehicle Maintenance
• Shipping Warehouse
• Container Storage
• Fuel Control

Similar to other ground loot in Arc Raiders, Motors are also affected by the randomized spawning mechanic. This is why you may not find the exact item at the same spot consistently. However, these are some of the areas where you have a higher chance of finding the Motors. Although Spaceport has a greater number of Mechanical POIs, the Parking Garage area in Buried City (located between Hospital and Space Travel) could potentially help you farm this resource faster. Make sure to go through all of the floors in the garage, breach, and then open all the hoods on the wrecked cars.

The cars contain a healthy amount of loot, and you might find some Motors directly from this spot. For other Mechanical category POIs, make sure to search through all lockers, cabinets, and containers.

That said, here are the resources you will need to gather to upgrade the Refiner Workshop Station:

• 3 Motors
• 10 ARC Circuitry
• 6 Bombarier Cell

Once you have acquired all of the resources, you can head back to Speranza and level up the Refiner. Having access to higher-level workstations can help you craft better gear, making it easier to survive the Topside.
