How to get Meteor Flight in Where Winds Meet

Meteor Flight in Where Winds Meet is a lightness skill that you can obtain quite early on in the game. But similar to other lightness skills, you will need to hit Level 4 in exploration in each of the two maps in Where Winds Meet to be able to use it. This ability is quite similar to the Thousand-Mile Flight ability that you unlock from the Warrior's Journey questbook reward.

How to unlock Meteor Flight in Where Winds Meet

The Meteror Flight Ability allows you to fly in Where Winds Meet and traverse quickly from one part of the map to the other. It is a lightness skill, and can be unlocked by completing a small side quest.

Head to the quest location as shown in the map above. This is located in the Moonveil Mountain region of Qinghe, right near the Porcelain Kiln that you visit during Chapter 1: Heaven has no Pier. If you unlocked the Teleport Waypoint early on, you should not have much trouble going to the area.

Here you will find a fisherman near a small pond. Talking to him will start the What Resides within Afterglow side quest. The mission is quite simple, as you will need to learn the skill and then complete a challenge.

Once you talk to him, he will teach you the basics of the Meteor Flight, where you must use your spear to launch yourself in the air and perform a set of QTEs. Once you are done, talk to him and he will set a challenge of you crossing the river by jumping on a set of jars.

This part is a bit tricky, as you will have to use your dash and triple jump to maintain momentum and not fall in water. Once you reach the boat, talk with him to receive the skill, and he will ask you for your Afterglow Pendant; you can obtain this by hitting exploration Level 4 in Qinghe. Showing him the pendant will conclude the quest and allow you to use the Meteor Flight in Where Winds Meet.
