How to defeat Yi Dao in Where Winds Meet

Yi Dao in Where Winds Meet is a boss enemy that you will encounter by completing a side quest. This mission in turn unlocks after you complete Chapter 1, Heaven Has No Pier. Yi Dao's location in Where Winds Meet

Yi Dao can be fought during the Dream in Flames side quest in Where Winds Meet, which unlocks after you complete Chapter 1 of the game. Once you do so, return to Blissful Retreat and go to the marked location. Among the ruins of the village following the events of Chapter 1, you will find Yi Dao's Thundercry Blade on the ground.

Tips and tricks to defeat Yi Dao in Where Winds Meet

The battle against Yi Dao is quite difficult as you will need parry quite a lot of his attacks to reduce his Qi. He also hits quite hard and can stun you easily. Before you head in, you will find the Companion Assist option near the Hero's Tomb. Select Ruby as she can revive you easily.

Also make sure to have the Celestial Seize mystic art in Where Winds Meet equipped, as it is one of the key abilities that you need to defeat him.

• Most of Yi Dao's attacks can be parried. Keep an eye out for when the Celestial Seize prompt appears as you will need to use this ability quickly. If you fail to do so, you will meet with a set of devastating blows that you cannot block.
• Yi Dao can send a set of three waves of attacks when you attack him from a range. This you can parry or dodge.
• Keep an eye out for when he performs an attack that sends illusions at you. This attack cannot be parried and must be dodged.
• When his weapon glows golden, make sure to dodge the flurry of attacks. You cannot block or parry this move as well.
