How to defeat the Queen in ARC Raiders

The Queen in ARC Raiders is one of the largest robots you can come across when venturing topside. This gigantic entity can be located during one specific map event, where it guards a mysterious harvesting machine. Facing the Queen for the first time is a fearsome experience, as the sheer size of this ARC boss dwarfs everything in its vicinity. Although daunting, this massive robot can be taken down by a squad of three Raiders or by teaming up with randoms on the map.

This article walks you through the process of taking down the Queen in ARC Raiders.

Queen in ARC Raiders: Recommended equipment loadout

To successfully take down the Queen, you must have a few important items in your loadout. Here is a list of everything you need:

Hullcracker 4 (with Launcher Ammo x200)

This is a really expensive loadout, but its core focus is on taking down the Queen with the Hullcracker 4 while having another weapon to tackle ARCs or hostile Raiders should they pose a problem. The Wolfpacks will make it easy for your squad to tackle any Rocketeers that show up.

Queen in ARC Raiders: Attacks and weakpoints

The gigantic ARC boss, Queen, has a few lethal attacks that can destroy Raiders when faced head-on. Here is what you need to watch out for:

Rockets/Mortars that have an area of effect (AoE) damage.
Laser beams that deal sustained damage.
Ground slam and EMP Pulse when players get close.

You cannot stand in the open and fight this boss. A strong vantage point is necessary to shoot the Queen down without constantly getting hit by her flurry of attacks. That said, here are a few weak points you should know about:

Shooting her leg armor can reveal yellow weak spots at the joints.
The top of her head has a secret weak spot, which is revealed during the Laser attack.

Even though these weak points can help the Raiders make quick work of the Queen, it can be hard to stay at a safe distance and elevation to constantly hit them.

Safest way to tackle the Queen in ARC Raiders

1) Optimal spawn location

First and foremost, time is a crucial aspect while battling the Queen. This means that a full match will ensure you have enough time to reach an advantageous position, fight the boss, gather all the loot, and extract safely back to Speranza.

Wait for Dam Battlegrounds to feature the Harvester event and then queue for a match. If you join a session midgame, exit using a Raider Hatch Key and requeue. This tactic can also be applied to the spawn location. If you do not spawn in the North sections of the map, exit using a hatch and retry.

If you spawn close to the following Points of Interest (POIs), then you can proceed to the next step:

West Broken Bridge
Power Generation Complex
Raider Outpost East
East Broken Bridge

2) Reaching a vantage point

After getting an appropriate spawn and having an entire match's worth of time on your hands, proceed to this control room marked in the map below with a blue arrow. Do note that this section is inside a building connected to the Power Generation Complex.

There are two doorways that grant you access to this room. Use Door Blocker gadgets to ensure hostile Raiders can't barge in and take you down while you fight the boss.

Once inside, use your Hullcracker 4 to start shooting the Queen in ARC Raiders, while aiming for the body. Carefully climb onto the window ledges and take a few shots before hopping down. This ensures that you don't get caught by the AoE and the Laser Beam attack.

Considering a squad of three players, it can take well over 15 minutes of constant shooting to take down the gigantic ARC boss guarding the Harvester.

It won't be feasible to try and loot everything that the destroyed Queen has to offer. Therefore, share it with your squadmates (or randoms if you teamed up with them) and then extract using the Pump House Hatch to avoid any additional dangers like hostile ARCs and Raiders.
