The Matriarch in ARC Raiders is the new boss introduced with the North Line update. It is a behemoth that boasts a wide range of new attacks, as well as unique defensive options that let it hold its ground far longer than a Queen can. Even a flat-out assault from multiple raiders can take close to 20 minutes to take this mechanical menace down.

Offensive and Defensive moves

Heat-seeking missiles that can close the distance in the blink of an eye.

Other than these direct attacks, the Matriarch in ARC Raiders has a few defensive options. From time to time, this new boss likes to summon additional ARC mini-bosses all at once. This includes Leapers, Rocketeers, Bastions, Bombardiers, and so on. It is wise to take them out before re-engaging with the mastermind behind them.

Additionally, the Matriarch in ARC Raiders features a shield that makes it invulnerable for a short while. Do not waste Hullcracker ammo by shooting it when the shield is up.

Weakpoints

Similar to the Queen in ARC Raiders, the Matriarch also has a few key weak points. For now, the leg armor can be shot and slowly chipped away. This can take longer as compared to the Queen. This is because the Matriarch has a sturdier armor composition.

Safest way to beat Matriarch in ARC Raiders

Fighting this new boss in ARC Raiders requires as much cover as possible. This can help you survive the heat-seeking missile onslaught, which is unleashed in a three-shot burst. This is why Dam Battlegrounds is safer to fight the Matriarch than The Blue Gate map.

Since the boss likes to initiate all its attacks as soon as it spots you, it is advised that all Raiders constantly move around and fight it from tighter angles. Keep taking shots at its head, while making sure you are staying away from any danger, be it from the boss itself or its spawned team of ARCs.

This boss can be easily located close to the Floodgates Point of Interest (POI) on the Dam Battlegrounds map. Wait for the map condition to become active, then spawn and look for this boss resting on top of the Dam Floodgates.
